A man was arrested after allegedly breaking into a home while a family slept in the early morning hours of March 1, 2025, according to the Port St. Joe Police Department.
Officers responded to a residence after the victim woke up and realized an intruder had been inside the home overnight. With the assistance of neighbors’ security cameras and FLOCK cameras, officers identified a suspect.
During a post-Miranda interview, Wayner Garcia Bravo confessed to stalking the victim from a local store to their residence before locating an unlocked window, cutting the screen, and entering the home. Investigators determined that Bravo had entered a room where a victim was sleeping, stole a clothing item, and rummaged through the residence before leaving.
Bravo was arrested and charged with Stalking and Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling. Authorities confirmed that an I.C.E. Detainer will also be placed on him due to his illegal status in the country.
