Titarius Lyons, 33, was arrested on June 1, 2025, by St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office (SJSO) deputies, wanted for Aggravated Battery with Great Bodily Harm while Armed with a Weapon.
Lyons is accused of severely injuring a victim on May 24, 2025, by striking them with a baton and repeatedly stabbing them with a knife. A witness intervened to stop the assault, and the victim was hospitalized with traumatic injuries.
SJSO deputies initiated an investigation after contacting the victim at the hospital. Lyons was located and apprehended Sunday at a St. Augustine apartment complex as he attempted to evade arrest.
Authorities revealed that at the time of this attack, Lyons was out on bond for domestic violence and criminal mischief charges from April 2025. Furthermore, Lyons qualifies as a prison release re-offender, having been released from custody in January 2025 after serving a sentence for Armed Robbery and Violation of Probation.
