Interlachen Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges Following Cybertip

James Greaner, 21, of Interlachen, was arrested yesterday on 19 counts of possession of obscene material involving child pornography and one count of using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony. The arrest stems from a cybertip originally sent by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

The NCMEC tip was initially received by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. Following further investigation, usernames, emails, and IP addresses were linked to Greaner, leading the case to be transferred to Putnam County detectives.

Detectives reviewed 276 images and videos downloaded by Greaner and determined that 19 contained child sexual abuse material, with some depicting children as young as toddlers and infants.

An arrest warrant was obtained yesterday, and Greaner voluntarily came to the Sheriff’s Office, where he was arrested without incident. He is currently being held at the Putnam County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
