Today brings more rounds of showers and thunderstorms across the area with the activity picking up late morning and through the afternoon.
We are catching a break in the storms Thursday morning with only a few light showers possible. Rain will move in from the west later in the day with some storms in the afternoon bringing gusty winds and over a half inch of rain.
Many clouds will keep temperatures in the upper 80s.
Showers and rain will stick around through 9-10 tonight with temps in the 70s.
Tomorrow rain starts early in the morning with a mid day lull. As the afternoon heats up Friday it sparks several more thunderstorms that track southeast back to the coast into the early evening. Rain chances are 70% today and tomorrow.
The timing for rain over the weekend shifts back to more typical afternoon and evening hours.
