The Community Rehabilitation Center (CRC) and Executive Director Reginald Gaffney Sr., celebrated its 30th Anniversary as a Mental and Behavioral Health Agency. The formal event was held over the weekend at the Marriott Riverfront Hotel in downtown Jacksonville. CRC was founded in October 1993 to fulfill a community need for a comprehensive mental health program for the minority population living on the Northside. During these 30 years, the Agency has grown and expanded and now serves all sectors of the community with comprehensive multicultural behavioral health services for over hundreds clients daily. The Agency presented a congratulatory and appreciation award to Mayor Donna Deegan and Sheriff T.K. Waters. Reginald Gaffney Sr. was also awarded a special commendation by City Council for CRC’s outstanding service to the community. The audience also enjoyed a performance by gospel recording artist Travis Green. After the accolades and testimonials, Gaffney stood at the podium and stated, “This could not have been possible without the grace of God. We look forward to 30 more years of healing hearts and minds,” said Gaffney.
