There is a large police presence in the Mandarin neighborhood Wednesday evening as a standoff is underway.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is responding to a situation at the Saddlebrook subdivision off Old St. Augustine Road, just south of Greenland Road.
News4JAX is hearing that a suspect is barricaded inside a car. Traffic was blocked as police investigated but they have unblocked the lanes and traffic is flowing.
Sources said this situation is connected to a fatal shooting this afternoon on Collins Road on the city’s Westside.
