On Saturday, January 11, 2025, Daytona Beach Police officers responded to a report of indecent behavior at TJ Maxx, located at 1115 Cornerstone Blvd, around 12:50 p.m.
According to the reporting party and a juvenile witness, a man was seen exposing himself and engaging in inappropriate behavior in the store’s shoe aisle. Officers located and detained the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Johnnie Booker Toler, who partially exposed his genitals.
Toler admitted to officers that he was unaware of his exposure and denied intent to offend others. However, surveillance footage confirmed witness accounts, showing Toler making lewd gestures near customers, including juveniles.
Officers collected evidence, including clothing and a phone, during the investigation. Toler was arrested and charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior and one count of providing false information to law enforcement.
The Daytona Beach Police Department thanked the community for promptly reporting the incident and emphasized its commitment to public safety.
