The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying four individuals who broke into Golden Gate Middle School early Wednesday morning.
Surveillance footage captured three males and one female, all dressed in black and wearing face coverings, burglarizing the school shortly after 2 a.m. Detectives found a pair of Dunk Low Retro Nike sneakers outside the building, resembling those worn by one of the suspects in the footage.
During the break-in, the suspects forced entry into the locked Youth Relations Deputy office, where they used a cutting device to access a secured gun safe. They stole a CCSO rifle, two magazines, and ammunition from the safe. Additionally, the suspects took cash from other areas of the school.
Detectives are continuing to review surveillance images, process evidence, and follow up on leads.
Anyone with information about the burglary is urged to contact the Collier County Sheriff’s Office at 239-252-9300. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-8477, with eligibility for a cash reward.
