Mandarin 5-star Jaime Ffrench Jr. commits to Alabama

One of the best high school football players in the country decided where he wants to take his talents once he graduates. Mandarin wide receiver Jaime Ffrench Jr. committed to college Saturday.

Many of his teammates, coaches, family, and friends were at Southpoint Baptist Church to watch Ffrench make his commitment.

The junior Mustang was between Alabama, Penn State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Florida State.

The 13th-best player in the class of 2025 will be heading to Tuscaloosa to play for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

“I just like everything they’re building over there,” Ffrench said. “Especially with the coaching staff showing me love every time I come out to Tuscaloosa. It’s like love every time I’m out there. With that being said I am excited about my decision. Alabama tradition, it speaks for itself.”

Ffrench is the fourth-best receiver in the class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

“Mandarin prepared me well,” Ffrench said. “They still are preparing me. Ever since I stepped foot in the door coach Bullock and coach Harrell prepared me well. They made sure I had my right sources and stuff. Get me rolling.”

Ffrench’s stats from this past season show that he played in all 10 games. He caught 44 receptions for 671 yards and five touchdowns, leading the team in receiving. He averaged 15 yards a catch.
