Severe Thunderstorms and Heat Advisories remain for the weekend

Sunday morning begins with mostly cloudy skies, a wind from the southwest at 5-7 miles per hour, with temperatures in the mid 70s but quickly increases along with rain chances for most of the day.

Sunday evening, temperatures will drop into the upper 70s to low 80s, with winds from the southwest at 5 miles per hour, with mostly cloudy skies and rain until 10 PM.

Monday morning temperatures are in the low 70s, southwest with a light winds, with partly cloudy. Rain chances remain for Monday from the morning until to early evening.

TRACKING THE TROPICS

Don has developed into a hurricane.

It is located approximately 480 miles South/Southeast of Cape Race Newfoundland.

The storm is expected to dissipate by Monday or Tuesday. As the system approaches cooler waters that will stop development.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 75 mph (120 km/h) with higher gusts.

There is a low pressure located about 850 miles east of the Windward Islands. there is a chance that a tropical depression could occur.

Formation chance through 48 hours at 30 percent; 7 days at 40 percent.
