A Baker County mother of four is accused of leaving her kids unattended in a car for at least 20 minutes on Friday, which was noted as one of the hottest days of the month, according to a Baker County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
BCSO said Tiffany Dillman, 26, was arrested and charged with four counts of child neglect following an investigation prompted by a witness who reported seeing the children left in the car that was not running.
Deputies said the four children, under the age of 10, were noticeably sweating and uncomfortable when they arrived at the scene.
They said the children were left alone for about 20 minutes.
The sheriff’s office thanked the observant witness who noticed the children and called law enforcement, saying, “It is critical that our community understands the importance of making responsible decisions related to the safety of our children.”
