Roasting temps as we broil under a heat advisory

Storms won’t fire up until the evening which leads to a hotter afternoon with highs around 97. Tremendous moisture in the air will lead to a feels-like temp near 109. This humidity will lead to a rainy night. Storms should be delayed during the day with most activity developing after 4-5 PM.

The rain tonight will likely linger into midnight.

The heat advisory is from 11 am until 6 pm tonight.

Tomorrow brings scattered afternoon storms and temps almost as hot as today. An early start to thunderstorms Monday afternoon may keep us out of another heat advisory tomorrow with highs near 95.

Temps back down later in the week with increasing easterly breezes which will also focus storms inland.
