Clay County Sheriff’s Office investigating incident during Middleburg Christmas Parade

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that occurred during the Middleburg Christmas Parade Saturday night.

The incident occurred at 4182 County Rd 218, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy working the parade heard what sounded like gunshots. Deputies immediately responded to the scene.

Four people were detained, but there is currently no word of any arrests.

There are no reports of any injuries.

CCSO says that this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.

CCSO will have a briefing tomorrow to share additional information on this incident.
