Plan for hump day sunshine and cooler temperatures

With the severe weather behind us, we’ll see plenty of sunshine today. The cold air dropped in overnight behind the cold front, and along with breezy conditions, temperatures will start in the 40s. Highs Wednesday will stay in the upper 50s under clear skies.

Tonight: Temperatures will continue to fall into the mid-upper 30s. Southeast Georgia could see areas of patchy frost.

Thursday: Clouds return to the area ahead of a warm front approaching from the south. This will keep temperatures in the lower 60s.

Looking ahead: Thunderstorms, with high winds is expected on Friday before we see a colder, sunny weekend.

Hazards: Inland freeze and patchy fog possible Saturday night.
