City Rescue Mission extends services due to freezing temperatures in the Jacksonville area

The City Rescue Mission is keeping its doors open longer and offering room for more guests. They will remain on this schedule as long as temperatures are below 40 degrees.

“We will not turn anyone away. We want to make sure that those without a home have warm shelter and a hot meal,” Paul Stasi, City Rescue Mission Executive Director, said.

People seeking safe shelter may check in to City Rescue Mission’s New Life Inn at 234 W. State Street, Jacksonville 32202, beginning Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. All guests will get a hot meal and will be offered access to showers and clean clothing.
