The body of a buried man was discovered Tuesday morning following a tip received by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO said the tip led police to the Valencia Way Apartments, where the man, believed to be between 25 to 30 years old, was found buried underneath trash behind building 26 on Hollycrest Drive.
The medical examiner’s office determined the man was shot multiple times. In the investigation, police learned that the man was shot in a vacant apartment near where he was buried.
Police do not have suspect information as it is early in the investigation.
