A 10-year-old is in critical condition after a vehicle driving on Beach Boulevard hit the child Wednesday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the child was walking on Beach Boulevard just before the intersection of Tamaya Boulevard around 6:00 p.m.
A 37-year-old driver was driving east on Beach Blvd, approaching the intersection when the child walked in the vehicle’s path of travel and was struck.
The driver stopped and cooperated with authorities.
The child was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver was uninjured.
