Teenager shot in Grand Park neighborhood

A possible shootout in Jacksonville’s Grand Park neighborhood injured one male teenager, that’s according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Around 9 p.m. Saturday, officers were sent to West 23rd Street and Mecca Street about someone being shot.

They found an adult male in his late teens who was grazed in the shoulder by a bullet.

Investigators say two men were shooting at a vehicle in the area. There’s no word of the people inside the vehicle were returning fire.

The teenager was shot during the exchange.
