Juvenile injured by bullet fired from outside Northwest Jacksonville home

A juvenile was transported to a local hospital after a bullet fired from outside a home struck her in the foot Saturday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police said the shooting happened at approximately 5 a.m. at a home on Cisco Drive in Northwest Jacksonville.

According to JSO, the victim and other family members were inside their home when several shots were fired from outside the residence.

The victim was struck once in the foot, and she is in stable condition, police said.

No other family members were injured.

Detectives are in the process of speaking with witnesses and looking for video surveillance.
