Girl Scouts launch cookie season in Northeast Florida

Girl Scout cookies are here!

The Mega Drop of Girl Scout cookies began Friday and will continue through Saturday. After that, each troop will set up cookie booths throughout the Gateway Council, from Jacksonville to Panama City.

“Our council is comprised of 35 counties in which we have over 3,000 girls from more than 350 troops selling cookies,” Gateway Council’s Director of Marketing and Communications Melissa Redon said.

Last year, over 3,000 Girl Scouts sold over 1.6 million boxes of cookies.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world.
