Sunday will be warm and partly sunny with highs near 80, mid-70s near our beaches. Winds will still be from the south and breezy, even gusty at times up to 20mph.
A 20% chance of rain returns Sunday after midnight as the cold front moves in from the panhandle.
What we’re watching: the forecast will turn from nice and warm to wet and windy Monday afternoon. A severe storm threatens after lunchtime when a cold front pushes through. There’s an 80% chance of rain with an isolated tornado possible.
Looking ahead: Seasonable temperatures return on Tuesday with a chilly start to Valentine’s Day, which is looking to be a sweetheart of a day.
