A man died early Wednesday morning following a minor crash that the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said may have been caused by a medical emergency.
Duval’s 18th traffic fatality happened at 3:20 a.m. when the man in his 40s failed to turn at an intersection.
The man was driving through a trailer park when his black four-door sedan collided with a tree and a parked vehicle, JSO said.
He was then transported by JFRD to a local hospital and pronounced dead. No other people were involved in the crash.
In response to media questions, JSO said there could have been a possible medical emergency that led to the crash.
More information will be available after the release of the medical examiner’s report.
