Allegiant Airlines will introduce new nonstop flights from Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) to Akron-Canton Airport (CAK), Des Moines International Airport (DSM), and Grand Rapids Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) starting in May 2025.
According to an announcement released this morning, flights to Akron-Canton and Grand Rapids will begin on May 23, operating on Mondays and Fridays. Service to Des Moines will commence on May 22, running on Thursdays and Sundays. All three routes will provide year-round service.
“Allegiant has grown considerably through the years in Jacksonville, and their low fares offer travelers the opportunity to visit our wonderful community, while offering Northeast Floridians the opportunity to visit some of their favorite places in the Midwest,” said Mark VanLoh, CEO of the Jacksonville Aviation Authority.
Currently, Allegiant offers nonstop flights from Jacksonville to destinations including Belleville (St. Louis), Cincinnati, Flint, Washington, D.C. (Dulles), Indianapolis, Harrisburg, Norfolk, Pittsburgh, and Knoxville.
