FDLE Seeks Public’s Help in Solving 2016 Disappearance of Samantha Fiddler
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) continues to investigate the 2016 disappearance of Samantha Fiddler, a 29-year-old mother of three last seen in Bartow on November 19, 2016. FDLE agents are asking for the public’s assistance in uncovering information that could solve the case.
“Eight years have passed, and we’re still as committed to finding answers as ever,” said FDLE Tampa Special Agent in Charge Mark Brutnell. “She left three children and her parents behind in Canada, and they deserve to know the truth. We are asking anyone who knew her and might have helpful information to contact us.”
Fiddler moved to Florida from Alberta, Canada, in March 2016 to pursue a career in wrestling and entertainment. While living in Florida, she spent time in Polk, Orange, Miami-Dade, Brevard, Broward, Osceola, and Seminole counties. She disappeared just seven months after her relocation.
FDLE began investigating the case in 2020 at the request of the Bartow Police Department. Agents have conducted numerous interviews with family members and friends in both Florida and Canada, believing individuals familiar with Fiddler during her time in Florida may hold critical information.
Fiddler is described as having a scar on her lip and several tattoos, including one on her foot and another on her back shoulder. She was also known by aliases such as Lucy Morningstar, Samantha Steele, and Samantha Lloyd.
“We’re asking the public and Samantha’s friends and acquaintances to help us find her. She’s out there and she needs to be reunited with her family,” Brutnell said.
