On Wednesday afternoon, Jacksonville police responded to reports of a shooting outside an apartment complex in Arlington. Officers found a 19-year-old Black man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition but is expected to survive.

Detectives from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Robbery and Violence Crimes unit determined the victim was shot by three individuals who fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV.

Multiple shell casings were recovered at the scene, and officers seized two firearms as part of the investigation.
