On Thursday, December 19, 2024, the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call reporting a shooting on South Scarlet Oak Terrace. Upon arrival, deputies determined the victim, 44-year-old Aaron Michael Kyle, had been shot during a home invasion and later succumbed to his injuries while being treated at a hospital.

“This case has presented significant challenges,” said Sheriff Mike Prendergast. “Our detectives have worked tirelessly, and their careful approach ensured the immediate arrest of both suspects involved.”
