Detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit have arrested Joseph Mixson, 17, and Andrew Robinson, 19, in connection with the June 2024 double murder of two 16-year-olds.
On June 9, officers responded to a shooting at the Island Pointe apartment complex on Jacksonville’s Northside, where they found Travaris Odol and Stanley Merriweather with multiple gunshot wounds. Both teens were pronounced dead at the scene.
Following months of investigation, authorities identified Mixson and Robinson as suspects. Both were taken into custody and are being held at the Duval County Jail on charges of second-degree murder.
