A 30-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, January 16, 2025, for lewd activity at Lions Park in Winter Haven.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office Vice detectives were conducting undercover operations at the park in response to citizen complaints of inappropriate behavior.
Around 11:00 a.m., detectives observed Freddyali Garcia Rivera, 30, of Winter Haven, exposing himself and engaging in lewd behavior in public view.
Garcia Rivera was arrested and charged with Exposure of Sexual Organ and Soliciting Another to Commit Lewdness.
“Parks are for individuals and families who want to relax, or enjoy nature. They don’t want to be subjected to people behaving in a crude or vulgar manner,” said Sheriff Grady Judd. “Our undercover detectives routinely visit parks across the county in an effort to keep these areas safe and enjoyable for everyone.”
