Man Fatally Stabbed in St. Petersburg, Suspect Arrested Hours Later

On Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 8:26 p.m., St. Petersburg Police officers responded to a report of a stabbing outside 2031 Queensboro Avenue South.

When officers arrived, they found 56-year-old George Hudson suffering from a stab wound. Officers administered CPR until paramedics arrived and transported Hudson to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Through their investigation, detectives learned that Hudson had been involved in an argument with 49-year-old Jonathan Lamont Conyers earlier that evening.

At 2:50 a.m. on Sunday, police located and arrested Conyers. He has been charged with 1st-degree murder and booked into the Pinellas County Jail.

The investigation into the fatal incident is ongoing.
