Jacksonville Man Charged for Fatally Striking 8-Month-Old with Vehicle After Dispute

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide detectives have arrested 20-year-old Justin Golden following the tragic death of an 8-month-old baby on Saturday morning, January 25th.

According to the JSO, Golden was driving with a female passenger and the baby in the vehicle when he and the passenger became involved in an argument. During the altercation, Golden removed the baby from the car before leaving the scene. Tragically, Golden struck the baby with the vehicle as he departed. The infant succumbed to their injuries.

Golden was promptly taken into custody and now faces charges of aggravated manslaughter and vehicular homicide. He is being held in the Duval County jail as the investigation continues.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the State Attorney’s Office, is committed to seeking justice for the young victim.
