A series of proposed boundary changes for several Westside middle schools in Duval County will be discussed in an open community meeting on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Ed White High School. The changes, aimed at alleviating overcrowding at Chaffee Trail Middle School, will affect Chaffee Trail, Westside Middle, Westview K-8, Baldwin Middle-Senior, and Lakeshore Middle School.
The community is invited to participate in the conversation during two separate sessions: a general community meeting followed by the Academic and Community Excellence (ACE) meeting. The ACE process will allow a group of stakeholders to review the data and history related to the boundary changes and develop recommendations for the school district’s superintendent.
The meeting will take place at Ed White High School, located at 1700 Old Middleburg Road North in Jacksonville, FL, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The public will have an opportunity to provide feedback, and any decisions made after the ACE process will be presented to the School Board for action. If approved, any changes will go into effect following the 2024-25 school year.
