A Duval County jury has found Vincent Drew-Clark guilty of Grand Theft Auto following a 2024 armed carjacking that led to a police chase and crash. With the verdict, Drew-Clark faces up to five years in Florida State Prison. He was on probation at the time of his arrest and could receive additional prison time for Violation of Probation in four other cases. The Honorable Anthony Salem will sentence him at a later date.
On January 15, 2024, the victim pulled into a Jammes Road parking lot when Drew-Clark and his two brothers, armed with guns, approached the vehicle and ordered the victim and passenger to get out. The brothers stole the car and fled. Officers later spotted the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the suspects sped off. They abandoned the car on Flopsy Lane, where it crashed into a pole. Officers pursued the three on foot and arrested them.
Co-defendants Stephen Drew-Clark and Ce’vin Drew-Clark pleaded guilty to Carjacking with a Firearm on January 28, 2025. They will be sentenced at a later date.
The case was investigated by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Emily Jones and Paige West.
