Jacksonville Man Charged with Murder in October 2024 Homicide

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit has charged 32-year-old Robert Jo-Irin Hendrix with the murder of 43-year-old Kristin Carrier, who was found dead in a Northside home on October 10, 2024.

Patrol officers discovered Carrier’s body inside a residence on Pheasant Drive near Busch Drive. She had suffered multiple gunshot and stab wounds. Hendrix was present at the scene when officers arrived and was detained but initially arrested on unrelated charges.

Following an extensive investigation, including a review of evidence, witness interviews, and consultation with the State Attorney’s Office, authorities obtained a warrant for Hendrix’s arrest on charges of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence.

Hendrix had already been in custody at the Duval County Jail since October 11, 2024, when he was arrested on drug charges and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He will remain behind bars as he awaits trial on the new charges.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reaffirmed its commitment to seeking justice for Carrier’s loved ones.
