Actor Eric Mabius Arrested After Bar Disturbance in Nassau County

Actor Eric Mabius, 53, was arrested this morning by the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office on charges of battery and resisting law enforcement without violence.

Deputies responded to a disturbance at The Goat on Lofton Square Ct., where Mabius and a 40-year-old woman were reportedly intoxicated.

Witnesses reported that Mabius and the woman spat on patrons after being asked to leave. Mabius allegedly pushed a female victim to the ground and pulled her hair. A bystander intervened.

Upon deputies’ arrival, Mabius became belligerent and refused to comply with instructions. He was arrested for resisting without violence after attempting to walk behind a deputy.

Sheriff Bill Leeper stated, “This type of behavior will not be tolerated in our community, regardless of celebrity status. Our deputies quickly dealt with an uncooperative individual, and we’re thankful no one was seriously injured during this unfortunate incident.”

Although the victim declined to press charges, both Mabius and the woman were arrested for simple battery and resisting without violence.
