A woman died Sunday evening after a collision between a scooter and a car on Hull Road in Gainesville.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. on March 2, a grey Mustang was traveling eastbound on Hull Road and began slowing down to make a left turn into a parking lot. A scooter, traveling westbound, collided with the vehicle, ejecting the rider.
Fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene and transported the woman to the hospital under a Trauma Alert. She later succumbed to her injuries.
As part of the investigation, the roadway was blocked while the University of Florida Police Department, Gainesville Police Department Traffic Homicide Investigators, and UPD Forensic Investigators processed the scene.
