A convicted felon was arrested after multiple disturbances, a battery incident, and the discovery of 208 rounds of ammunition in his vehicle.
On Friday, March 7, 2025, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Deputy J. Gonzalez responded to a battery call near the 13000 block of W Newberry Rd. The suspect, 40-year-old Alan Everett Squire, reportedly attempted to gain access to the location by throwing an object and breaking glass. He then engaged in a physical altercation with the victim, who sustained cuts from the broken glass.
Squire fled the scene but returned the next morning, March 8, at approximately 7:31 a.m., causing another disturbance before leaving the area in his vehicle. Deputies later found his car blocking the roadway on SW 137th Way around 8:50 a.m., leading to its removal. During an inventory search, deputies discovered 208 rounds of ammunition. Squire, a convicted felon with prior robbery-related prison sentences, is prohibited from possessing ammunition.
Later in the day, deputies learned Squire had sent a threatening message to another victim, causing them to fear for their safety. At approximately 11:13 a.m., deputies located Squire on the 14000 block of SW 8th Ave. He attempted to flee on a bicycle but fell and was detained. A search of his person revealed three controlled substances for which he did not have prescriptions.
Squire was booked on multiple charges, including 208 counts of Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon, Written Threats to Kill, Possession of a Controlled Substance Without a Prescription, Resisting Officers Without Violence, and Battery. His bond was set at $115,000.
