Missing Texas Teen Recovered After Pursuit in St. Johns County

On March 15, 2025, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office deputies located a vehicle linked to a missing 16-year-old female from Texas and a male suspect wanted for multiple felony charges.

The vehicle was found in the parking lot of Durbin Pavilion. When deputies approached, the driver fled. Deputies, including the air unit, quickly ended the pursuit by performing a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver.

The driver, identified as 19-year-old Jesus Esteban Arellano, was taken into custody. The missing juvenile was safely recovered.

Arellano, who had five outstanding warrants for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Texas, now faces additional charges in Florida, including fleeing and eluding law enforcement, providing a false name, and driving without a valid license.
