Heather Hogan has been sentenced to 10 years in Florida state prison after being convicted of Child Neglect and Aggravated Child Abuse. The sentencing follows an extensive investigation by the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit, which uncovered evidence of abuse dating back to January 2024.
The child under Hogan’s care was found to have suffered tragic injuries, including broken bones and bruising, and also tested positive for narcotics. In addition to the prison sentence, Hogan will be required to serve an additional 5 years of probation upon her release.
Authorities emphasized the significance of safeguarding vulnerable children and urged continued advocacy for their safety and well-being within communities.
