Following a detailed investigation, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) Special Assault Unit detectives arrested 64-year-old Julius Fagge III on April 17, 2025, in connection with multiple allegations of child sexual abuse that occurred in the 1990s.
Fagge’s arrest follows his apprehension in February by the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) for soliciting a minor via computer during their sexual predator stings, Operation Deviant Nightfall and Deviant Sunrise, in which JSO assisted.
During a follow-up on a warrant, JSO investigators learned that Fagge allegedly repeatedly sexually abused several children in Jacksonville in the 1990s, all of whom were under the age of 12 at the time. JSO detectives traveled to Georgia and North Carolina to pursue leads in the case.
Based on interviews with multiple victims and corroborating evidence, JSO detectives obtained a warrant for Fagge’s arrest on multiple charges of Sexual Battery on a Child. He has since been booked into the Duval County Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office stated its commitment to working closely with the State Attorney’s Office to seek justice for the victims and their families. They also thanked the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office for their cooperation in the case.
JSO emphasized that there is no statute of limitations for child sexual abuse and encouraged victims and survivors to come forward, no matter how long ago the abuse occurred. Help is available by calling 904.630.0500.
