Hillsborough Sheriff Files Murder Charge Against Man Previously Charged as Accessory

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has announced additional charges against 34-year-old Terrance Robinson in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in North Tampa in June 2024.

On June 17, 2024, deputies responded to a 911 call reporting gunfire near Regents Park Drive and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. Upon arrival, they found an adult male deceased in the roadway.

Terrance Robinson was initially arrested on July 23, 2024, and charged as an accessory after the fact in the homicide investigation. However, following a continued and extensive investigation, new evidence has emerged, confirming Robinson’s involvement leading up to the shooting. As a result, he now faces a charge of First-Degree Felony Murder, in addition to a charge of Robbery.

Robinson was taken into custody by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office on May 8, 2025, and is currently awaiting extradition back to Hillsborough County.

Sheriff Chad Chronister stated, “This individual thought he could avoid accountability, but our detectives remained relentless. Violent acts like this will never be tolerated in Hillsborough County. I hope this arrest brings some measure of peace to the victim’s loved ones, knowing justice is being served.”

The investigation remains active.
