A uniformed Osceola County Code Enforcement Officer was arrested after deputies say she stole a $600 cell phone package from a property she was visiting in an official capacity.
On May 7, 2025, deputies responded to a larceny report at 5080 Maple Tree Lane in Saint Cloud. The complainant reported that a package containing a new cell phone had been delivered and was later stolen. Surveillance footage reportedly showed a uniformed Code Enforcement Officer removing the package from near the door of a camper on the property.
Detectives with the East Property Crimes Unit reviewed the video and identified the suspect as 37-year-old Vanessa Ramon. The footage showed Ramon arriving on April 16, 2025, in a white county pickup truck, picking up the package, tossing it into the bed of the truck, and driving away.
Investigators worked with Code Enforcement officials to verify Ramon’s identity. They confirmed that taking the package was not part of her official duties.
Vanessa Ramon was interviewed, arrested, and transported to the Osceola Jail without incident. She has been charged with grand theft, a third-degree felony under Florida Statute 812.014(2)(d)1.
