Suspect Identified in 2024 Dinsmore Area Double Murder

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) has identified 20-year-old Devonne Rivers as the suspect in the double murder of 45-year-old Travis Williams and 40-year-old Anton Brown, which occurred in April 2024.

On April 7, 2024, patrol officers responded to a call regarding a vehicle obstructing Garden Street near Old Kings Road in the Dinsmore area. Upon arrival, they discovered the vehicle with Williams and Brown deceased inside, both having sustained gunshot wounds.

Following an investigation, JSO Homicide detectives identified Devonne Rivers as the suspect. Rivers was already in the Duval County jail at the time, incarcerated for a gang-related ambush shooting that occurred in December 2024. He now faces two additional murder charges in connection with the deaths of Williams and Brown.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is working closely with the State Attorney’s Office to pursue justice for the families of the victims.
