Jacksonville police have arrested 68-year-old Carol Carroll in connection with the murder of 73-year-old Robert Tucker at a senior living facility on Norfolk Boulevard.
Officers responded to the facility early Tuesday morning, May 13th, and discovered Tucker in the lobby with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators followed a trail of blood from Tucker’s location to a specific unit within the facility, where they found Carroll inside. Following interviews and a review of the evidence, homicide detectives arrested Carroll for Tucker’s murder. Their investigation revealed that Carroll and Tucker knew each other prior to the incident.
Carroll is currently being held in the Pretrial Detention Facility, facing a charge of Murder. The Jacksonville Police Department stated they will work closely with the State Attorney’s Office to seek justice for Tucker’s loved ones.
