A transient man with a lengthy arrest history, 47-year-old Jerome Rosiecki, was arrested Saturday night after allegedly causing a drunken disturbance and damaging property at Captain’s BBQ in Palm Coast.
Flagler County deputies responded to the restaurant after a 911 call reported a drunk person causing a disturbance, with the suspect’s yelling audible in the background and allegations of property damage. Upon arrival, deputies located Rosiecki stumbling through the parking lot and immediately recognized him from previous encounters. He appeared intoxicated and smelled strongly of alcohol.
According to witnesses, Rosiecki had been harassing customers in the restaurant’s lobby and parking lot throughout the day. After the restaurant closed, he approached an employee, asking for a cigarette and to use his cell phone. When the employee refused, Rosiecki became aggressive, prompting the employee to retreat inside and lock the door. Rosiecki then aggressively pulled on the entry doors multiple times and threw a cigarette receptacle to the ground.
Deputies arrested Rosiecki for unarmed burglary of an occupied dwelling and disorderly intoxication in a public place causing a disturbance. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held on a $6,000 bond.
Sheriff Rick Staly commented on the arrest: “Deputies were able to immediately recognize this guy because they’ve had repeated encounters with him, most involving alcohol. He needs to spend some time in jail where he can think about his actions and sober up to turn his life around and get the help that he needs.”
Rosiecki’s extensive record in Flagler County includes 15 previous arrests since 2019 for charges such as aggravated assault, battery on a detained person, battery on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, disorderly intoxication, grand theft, malicious burning of land, property damage, resisting arrest with violence, and threats to a law enforcement officer. He has also been trespassed from numerous businesses in Flagler County and has several non-extraditable warrants from other Florida counties.
