The Orlando Police Department has released body camera video from a fatal officer-involved shooting that took place on May 1, 2025, in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 4620 Cason Cove Drive.
At approximately 5:47 p.m., police received multiple 911 calls about a man with a gun near a 7-Eleven in the 4500 block of Conroy Road. One caller reported that the suspect had pointed the gun at someone. Surveillance video also showed the suspect carrying a firearm inside a nearby dry cleaners.
Officers located the suspect at the Cason Cove Drive apartment complex and issued repeated commands in English and Spanish for him to drop the weapon. When he failed to comply, officers opened fire. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect was identified as Orlin Manuel Bueso Calderon, born June 24, 1999. The firearm recovered was later determined to be a simulated weapon. Calderon had a prior criminal history, including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon and possession of cocaine, as well as other drug and traffic offenses.
The officers involved have been placed on administrative leave per standard procedure. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is conducting an independent review, which will be forwarded to the State Attorney’s Office.
