Two Arrested, Meth and Fentanyl Seized in Armed Drug Bust at St. Augustine Home

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL — On June 5, 2025, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU), with assistance from SWAT and other specialized teams, executed a search warrant at 595 Madeore Street, uncovering a significant drug and weapons operation.

Authorities seized:

  • 4 ounces of methamphetamine
  • 17.5 grams of fentanyl
  • 2.2 grams of suspected ketamine
  • 7 firearms
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • Ammunition

Baron Long, 33, was arrested and charged with:

  • Armed trafficking of methamphetamine
  • Armed trafficking of fentanyl
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Maintaining a drug dwelling for trafficking purposes
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Steven Jones, 30, was also arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

The investigation remains ongoing.
