ST. AUGUSTINE, FL — On June 5, 2025, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU), with assistance from SWAT and other specialized teams, executed a search warrant at 595 Madeore Street, uncovering a significant drug and weapons operation.
Authorities seized:
- 4 ounces of methamphetamine
- 17.5 grams of fentanyl
- 2.2 grams of suspected ketamine
- 7 firearms
- Drug paraphernalia
- Ammunition
Baron Long, 33, was arrested and charged with:
- Armed trafficking of methamphetamine
- Armed trafficking of fentanyl
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Maintaining a drug dwelling for trafficking purposes
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Steven Jones, 30, was also arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
The investigation remains ongoing.
