STARKE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has arrested Roby Emory Catrett, Jr., 56, of Starke, on multiple felony counts related to child sexual abuse material. This arrest is part of FDLE’s ongoing statewide effort to identify and apprehend individuals targeting children and sharing illicit files.
Catrett, Jr. faces 13 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
FDLE’s investigation into Catrett, Jr. began in May when agents received multiple Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) cybertips from an electronic service provider. These tips indicated that an account user was uploading and sharing numerous files depicting the sexual abuse of children. The subsequent investigation identified Catrett, Jr. as the individual responsible for uploading these files.
On July 15, FDLE agents arrested Catrett, Jr. at his place of employment. He was then transported to the Duval County Jail. Following his arrest, FDLE executed a search warrant at his residence, seizing multiple electronic devices for digital forensic analysis. The Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) INTERCEPT Task Force and the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office provided assistance with the search warrant.
The Office of the Statewide Prosecution in Jacksonville is handling the prosecution of the case. The investigation remains active.
