Brazilian Fugitive Wanted for Homicide Arrested in Orlando; Wife for Operating Unlawful Business

ORLANDO, FL – A collaborative effort by multiple law enforcement agencies, led by FDLE Orlando and the HSI Orlando Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF), has resulted in the arrest of two Brazilian nationals: Lafaiett Pereira and his wife, Marcia De Oliveira. Pereira was wanted on an active INTERPOL Red Notice for homicide in Brazil.

Pereira has been charged with Violation of a nonimmigrant visa and Deportable Alien. De Oliveira was also arrested and charged with Violation of a nonimmigrant visa, Operating a business without status, and Deportable Alien, indicating she was allegedly running an unlawful business in the United States.
