KEY WEST, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has arrested Jorge Tyler Perez, 28, of Key West, on multiple felony charges, including possession of child sexual abuse material and sexual activities involving animals. The arrest is part of FDLE’s ongoing statewide initiative to identify and apprehend criminals exploiting children.
Perez faces one count of possession of child sexual abuse material and 14 counts of sexual activities involving animals, all of which are third-degree felonies.
The investigation began in November 2024 when FDLE agents received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children (NCMEC). The tip indicated that a Snapchat user had uploaded files depicting child sexual abuse. The subsequent investigation further revealed that the same user, identified as Jorge Tyler Perez, had also uploaded videos of bestiality.
On July 18, FDLE agents executed a search warrant at Perez’s residence, seizing an electronic device for further forensic analysis. Perez was then arrested and transported to the Monroe County Jail.
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Key West Police Department assisted FDLE in the investigation.
The Office of the State Attorney, 16th Judicial Circuit, is prosecuting the case. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
