ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. — On the evening of Tuesday, July 29, 2025, deputies responded to an armed disturbance in the 22000 block of NW 14th Terrace. The incident led to the arrest of 27-year-old Darius Yarnell Wilson, who allegedly forced entry into a home, assaulted a resident, and fired multiple gunshots before fleeing.
Deputies spoke with two individuals at the residence who said Wilson, a known acquaintance, showed up unannounced around 4:45 p.m., demanding access to his belongings. The second resident called 911 and intervened, prompting Wilson to leave.
As he fled in a 2013 Chrysler, Wilson allegedly fired several shots at the home. Deputies recovered multiple shell casings at the scene and obtained doorbell camera footage documenting part of the incident.
A search was immediately launched. Around 7:00 p.m., deputies located Wilson’s vehicle at the Bellamy Grand Apartments. He was taken into custody without further incident.
